Elle fut cr\u00e9\u00e9e par la Brampton Bros Ltd, de Birmingham. Celui des quatre fr\u00e8res qui en prit la direction fut M. Arthur Brampton (1864-1955), un homme d\u2019une culture remarquable, parlant aussi bien le fran\u00e7ais que sa langue natale.<br \/><br \/>L\u2019usine Brampton-Renold a \u00e9t\u00e9 acquise par la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 Schaeffler Chain Drive Systems (SCDS), entreprise allemande sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9e dans la conception, la production et la distribution de roulements m\u00e9caniques.<br \/>Trop \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9troit au c\u0153ur de Calais, SCDS (Schaeffler Chain Drive Systems) a d\u00e9m\u00e9nag\u00e9 en 2013 en p\u00e9riph\u00e9rie de la ville dans les anciens locaux de Bellier, l\u2019ex-teinturerie textile du dentelier Noyon.
